Irony: When I was teaching myself to draw and sketching portraits of anyone I could get to sit still, many of my friends asked, “Do you mind if I read while you’re drawing?”
Young Brianna was a bit frustrated; she wanted that eye contact. A decade later, she was making art depicting readers almost exclusively. This literary fascination lasted from 2019-2021, and echoes of it can be seen in the Comfort Era (2021-2023).
